3D Printing with ABS-ESD7

ABS-ESD7 (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene-electrostatic dissipative) is an ABS thermoplastic with static dissipative properties for applications where a static charge can damage products, impair their performance or cause an explosion. ABS-ESD7 prevents a buildup of static electricity, so it will not produce a static shock or cause other materials like powders, dust and fine particles to stick to it.

On the Fortus 380mc/450mc and Fortus 900mc 3D Production Systems, ABS-ESD7 lets electronics manufacturers expand the use of 3D printing onto the assembly line.

ABS-ESD7 is ideal for electronic parts with circuit boards, and is also suitable for the transportation and industrial equipment industries. It’s most widely used to create jigs and fixtures for assembly of electronic components, but its also useful for building functional prototypes of fuel storage and delivery products, as well as cases, enclosures and packaging.

Support removal with ABS-ESD7 is hands free and complex parts require no extra effort as it works with soluble support technology.
